Perlier Honey Royal Elixir

Disclaimer: Product provided for purpose of review.  All options expressed are my own.

I was recently sent the Perlier Royal Elixir Facial Serum to review.  I have tried a couple other products from Perlier in the past and really enjoy them (see posts here and here) plus, I'm always looking for a good serum, so I was super excited to try this out.

This product is said to be a youth serum with fresh royal jelly, the secret to the longevity of the Queen bee, which lives 50 times longer that then other bees. It mixes the regenerating power of the Royal Jelly and the vital energy of true Italian organic honey for age-defying effectiveness.

According to Perlier, this product:
*Optimizes the vital functions of the skin while also optimizing cell renewal.
*Provides for the right atmosphere for the optimization of the production of collagen, which helps in making the skin look less wrinkled and more compact.
*Gives the skin that immediate energized feeling and look and helps to alleviate your signs of tiredness.
*Gives your face new brightness, brilliance, splendor and true rejuvenate look.
*Results are that the skin has the appearance of renewal day after day, wrinkles look relaxed, tissue looks more elastic and healthier.

The directions of this product indicate to use it twice a day (morning and night) on clean skin.  It has a pleasant scent.  One of the first ingredients is rose water so it has a nice subtle rose scent, which is not at all over powering. The serum contains light reflecting "micro-pearls" which I must admit was a little off putting to me.  Because of that, I choose not to use it at night.  It just seemed weird to have a slight sparkle on my face to go to bed so I stuck with my regular night time serum and used this only in the morning.

The light reflectors proved to be quite beneficial during the day.  When using this serum, it really made my skin glow under my makeup.  In addition, my skin was softer and appeared to be firmer and I like to think, a little more youthful.

Perlier Honey Royal Gold Elixir can be purchase on HSN for $99.00.

May Favorites

May brought about some new favorites as well as rediscovering some old ones.

Color Crush Shine Lipshine in #14 Magenta Be Rouge, Body Shop - I was pleasantly surprised by this lip shine.  Its pretty pigmented and rather balmy.  Number 14 is the perfect bright pink for day wear.

Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector, BECCA - I haven't purchased this full size, but am planning on it as soon as I use up some of the primers I currently have.  This was a 100 point perk at Sephora so I decided to redeem some points just to try.  I am so glad that I did!  It doesn't have that silicon feel like a lot of pore filling primers do, rather it is a little sticky.  It really makes my foundation last throughout the day

Peony & Blush Suede Cologne, Jo Malone - I think I mentioned this scent a couple months ago but I have not been able to get enough of it lately.  I keep the large bottle on my dresser and the smaller bottle stashed in my purse for touch-ups throughout the day.

Mia2 Deep Pore Detoxifying Brush, Clarisonic - This is my second Clarisonic and purchased it after my original Mia stopped working (after heavy use over the course of 2+ years).  I have been using this with the Wasabi Cleanser mentioned below and the duo has been my skin care dream team.

Colorlicious Lipgloss in #700 Whipped Berry, Covergirl  - Apparently this may have been a prerelease when I picked it up at either CVS or Target (I can't remember).  They aren't yet listed on the Covergirl website and the only place I can find it online is to preorder on Amazon.  This gloss is pretty comparable to higher end brands.  I love the color.  I love the consistency.  Even the packaging feels a little higher end. Its a win for me.

Wasabi Anti-Acne Cleanser, Derma MD* - As mentioned above, I have been using this with my Clarisonic and absolutely love the results I have gotten. It does work much better in conjunction with the Clarisonic, but so far (knock on wood) I have not had to use Proactiv since starting this regime.

D Zit Zapper, Derma MD* - This is also part of the Derma MD Wasabi line and it has been the only spot treatment I have used in the past month.

Cosmetic Warrior, Lush - I LOVE LOVE LOVE a good face mask so I am always looking for new ones.  This is the first mask I have ever tried from Lush.  Within one use my skin was clearer, calmer and appeared less red.

Le Teint Touche Eclat Illuminating Foundation, Yves Saint Laurent - This is an old favorite!  I had been using the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation for about a year now and have really liked it.  Recently it just hadn't been blending well into my skin, so I decided to pick this up again. For a lightweight foundation, it gives pretty fantastic coverage.

What were some of your favorite product in May?

Sunday Lusts

Currency Case, Smythson - I can not have enough pouches.  I have a pouch of just about everything.  I love that this currency case has four different compartments for either different denominations of bills or to separate out receipts and coupons and other papers.

Even Skintone Set, Estee Lauder - I am always looking for new products to even out my skin tone and this is a great set to try out a few different Estee Lauder products.

Burnout Dot Tee, Gap - This color is perfect for the summer and I really love the burnout design.

Skull Candle, Zara Home - I find skulls to be so beautiful and love the cute little lizards on top.  I hate decorative candles that go unlit, but I don't if I would be able to burn this.

Birds of Paradise Ballet Flats, TOMS - I love my TOMS.  They are super comfortable and just so easy to throw on.  I already have one pair of their ballet flats and get so much use of them.  I love the Birds of Paradise pattern of these.

POWERMUD Dualcleanse Treatment, GLAMGLOW - I am obsessed with GLAMGLOW and have all three of their face masks.  This cleansing treatment is a weekly deep cleanse for your face.  I think it would be a perfect weekend treatment.
