Benefit Cosmetics Total Moisture and Its Potent

Disclaimer: This is not  sponsored post.  Products mentioned were purchased by me.  All opinions expressed are my own.

I have always loved Benefit cosmetics.  Their products are high quality, their packaging is fun and girly, their prices are pretty reasonable, and you can even buy their products at the airport! Recently I started using a couple products from the brands skincare line, Total Moisture Facial Cream and It's Potent Eye Cream.

Total Moisture Facial Cream is a concentrated facial cream with tri-radiance complex.

Say good-bye to dry skin and hello to "total moisture." This facial cream provides concentrated immediate & long-term hydration for a radiantly refreshed complexion. Our exclusive tri-radiance complex helps develop the skin's reserves of water & reinforce skin's moisture barrier. Contains mango butter, a natural plant-based emollient known to provide moisture. For normal to dry skin.In consumer testing, 100% of people tested felt that their skin was immediately and intensely quenched.

I was always one to forgot to use moisturizer or thought it was just too much of a bother.  Having acne prone skin, I was always hesitant to use too much moisturizer.  (Although I know now how important it is to use a moisturizer with acne prone skin!)  I have been using this morning a night and am about to buy my second jar.  While it is a little on the thick side, it absorbs really well and leaves my skin soft and hydrated without feeling greasy.

It's Potent Eye Cream is a brightening eye cream that fades dark circles.

Your eyes can't keep a secret...they're the first to show signs of age & stress. It's potent! eye cream fades dark circles & helps smooth fine lines for brighter, younger-looking eyes. Contains a peptide complex known to help restore elasticity & firmness, a blend of hydrating botanical extracts and loquat extract, known to help protect the skin from free radical damage.

My dark circles are hereditary. I know I'm never going to cure them but I do what I can to try to combat some of the discoloration.  I had used Benefit's (discontinued) eye-con years ago and really liked the results. When I heard this was comparable to that, I didn't hesitate to pick it up.  I have been using it for a couple months now and I do feel like I am noticing a difference.  In addition, while I didn't have significant lines around my eyes to begin with, I did feel that the skin around the eye area was starting to thin.  Since using this, I don't even notice that anymore.  I'm pretty happy with this product and will definitely be repurchasing.

I didn't expect anything less then AMAZING from a brand like Benefit, especially since I have never met a Benefit product that I didn't like.  My only compliant about their skincare, is that they don't have more products in their line!

Have you tried either of these products, or any of the skincare line from Benefit?  What are your thoughts?

Birchbox Limited Edition: In Full Bloom

Disclaimer: This is not  sponsored post.  Products mentioned were purchased by me.  All opinions expressed are my own.

I am a sucker for limited edition subscription boxes.  Whenever Glossybox or Birchbox release a new box,  I need to check them out.  When Birchbox released their In Full Bloom box last week, I did not hesitate to order it right away.

This box is separate from their monthly $10 box and is available from the Birchbox shop.  It contains 9 products, 5 of which are full size.

1.  Make Satin Finish Powder Blush in Geisha - A satiny formula that gives cheeks a rosy pink flush. (Full Size $30/.16oz)

This color looks absolutely beautiful in the pan.  I have not yet swatched it because I haven't decided if I am going to keep it or give it away. I don't own anything from Make and the color is so pretty, I am considering keeping it even though I have a million blushes already. A full size blush is included in this box.

2. Soap & Paper Factory Shea Butter Hand Cream in Bella - The all-natual shea butter salve is made by hand and has a velvety feel and addictive formal scent.  (Full Size $18/2.3 oz)

This is another full size product.  It is an a metal packaging, which I tend to like just because its so pretty and feels a little vintage.  Bella contains notes of grapefruit, bergamot and black pepper.

3.  tenoverten nail polish in Spring - From the just launched Spring Collection, this five-free nail polish offers gorgeous, chip free color without harsh chemicals. (Full Size $18/15ml)

I already have one of these polishes and like the formula.  Spring a really pretty pinky/coral. This box contains a deluxe size sample of this polish, which at 10.4 ml is pretty decent.  Given the full size price it a $12.48 value.

4. TokyoMilk Bon Bon Lip Balm in Rose Water - With shea butter and aloe, this sweet-tasting rose water lip balm packs a hydrating punch.  (Full Size $10/.22oz)

I probably don't need another lip blam, but since I am almost out of by Dior creme de rose, I will probably use this one next.  I was surprised by the scent, because it is sweet and not floral as I would expect.  The box contained a full size lip balm.

5. Votivo Candle Travel Tin in Rush of Rose - Whether you're traveling far and wide or staying close to home, this perfumed candle will put a spring in your step.  (Full Size $12/4oz)

I never really liked the scent of roses until recently and now I can't get enough of it.  I don't know how this will burn but it smells really pretty. I also like that it comes in a travel tin just in case I want to take it on my next getaway.  The box contains a full size travel candle.

6. Cecila Wong Skincare Anti-aging Rose Serum Spray - Created by a celebrity facialist, this rose mist plumps fine lines, boosts elasticity, and restores dewiness. (Full Size $40/4 oz)

I have been kind of obsessed with facial mists lately.  While this is a serum, I think it will travel well and I like what it claims to do so I'm excited to try this.

7. Juara Tiare Jasmine Tea Bath & Shower Gel - Inspired by Indonesian beauty recipes, this sulfate-free formula cleanses and softens skin with a trio of antioxidant teas. (Full Size $28/12oz)

The scent reminds me of something from my youth, I just can't put my finger on what.  I like that this is sulfate free.   It is kind of a small sample.  I usually save my shower gel samples to travel with but I'm not sure this would even get me passed two or three days. Either way, I can use it here at home and see how I like it.  The box contains a 1 oz sample which is about a $2.33 value.

8. Tocca Fragrance Rollerball in Giulietta - An airy fragrance brimming with enchanting florals, including pink tulips, lilacs and lily of the valley. (Full Size $68/1.7 oz)

I absolutely  love Tocca fragrance.  Stella is my all time favorite but I am excited to try Giulietta.  This contained a rollerball which aren't available on Birchbox, but retail for $20 at other merchants.

9.  Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit - This two step ritual uses a cleanser with chamomile to purify and soothe, and a muslin cloth to gently polish and soften skin.  (Full Size $24.50/3.3 oz plus 2 cloths)

I have been dying to try this cleanser!  I have been using cleansing oil to remove my makeup, but this is supposed to be amazing!  I received a 1 oz sample with one muslin cloth, which is about a $5.61 value.

I may not keep everything in this box,  just because I already have about a million other products, but I do love everything in it.  While it retails for $58, the value of everything combined is $126.62.

The In Full Bloom box can be purchased on  AND If you order before May 6th and use coupon code MOM50, you will receive 50 extra Birchbox points.

Sunday Lusts

Sunday Lusts 4.27

Metallic Gold Tieks - I am obsessed with my Cardinal Red Tieks and wear them just about everywhere. They are so comfortable and I get so much use out of them, that I am considering a second pair.

Spend and Save Two Way Loose Pocket, Anya Hindmarch - I love pouches.  I probably have about 5 of them in my purse at any given time.  I like that this one has two compartments to keep things separate.

Vanilla Bean Candle, Henri Bendel - This is one of my all time favorite scents.  Back when Bath and Body Works carried Henri Bendel candles I would buy the smaller version all the time and once even splurged on this giant 3 week candle.

BB for Lips, Bite Beauty - I have really been liking Bite Beauty lip products lately.  I use the Agave Lip Mask nightly and have a few other products in my stash.  I like that this new BB for Lips both improve lips and gives them a dose of color.

Sutton Satchel, Henri Bendel - I love structured satchels and really need a good leather bag.  I am obsessed with Henri Bendel in general so it's just a matter of time . . .

Dolce Eau de Parfum, Dolce & Gabbana - First of all, how gorgeous is this bottle?!?!  It would look gorgeous out on a vanity.  This is a slightly warmer scent than what I normally like, but I find myself loving floral scents lately and this would be a great evening scent.

The BEACHWAVER, SARAHPOTEMPA - This is ingenious!  I love that the barrel rotates to easily wrap and unwrap your hair around it.

Blue and Fuchsia

One of my favorite color combinations is blue and red.  While I am known to wear a red pump with just about everything, there is nothing I love more than pairing them with a navy top or purse.  Now that the weather is getting warmer, I gravitate to bolder, brighter hues.  Switching out red for fuchsia is one way to update my favorite combo for the spring/summer.

blue and pink

One of the tricks of wearing two bold colors, is to keep everything else neutral.  One way I like doing this is adding beige and gold jewelry and accessories.  That is especially important in the case of this little blue dress and fuchsia pumps, where you are wearing color from head to toe.

Blue and Pink Shorts

Does this not scream, Island popping in the caribbean? In this case, when color blocking garments, you should make sure to wear a beige shoe as well.

Tee and Jeans
Since these skinnies are already toned down with a plain basic white tee and navy flats, there is no reason why you can't add just a slight hint of another color.  In this case, I'm using a peach bag since it's still pretty neutral but adds a bit more dimension in the color scheme.

Pink and Pink and Blue

This is a slight take on the first look, flipping the blue and pink; however this time, I'm muting the pink in the dress and adding another shade with the bright clutch.

Blue and Pink Jeans

I don't tend to like anything too match matchy and wouldn't normally match my top to my purse, but since both are dark shades of blue, I am making an exception here. I also think that with the dark trouser jeans, its creating an otherwise monochrome look and adding just a pop of color on the foot.

Blazer and Pumps
I love effortless casual chic and one of my favorite looks are boyfriend jeans with pumps and a blazer.  Like with the skinnies above, since the blazer is dark and we are working with a simple plan white tank and jeans, I'm adding another pop of color with the yellow bag.  I am also keeping the jewelry a bit more understated and opting for silver over gold.

So what do yo think?  Do you like the blue and fuchsia combo? What as your favorite look of the 6?

Favorite Etsy Finds

Disclaimer:  This is not a sponsored post.  I am not being compensation by Etsy or any of the shops mentioned.  All opinions expressed are my own.

I am obsessed with Etsy.  I have been shopping on the site for years.  Not only is it a great resource for unusual and rare items (which I love!) but it is also a great avenue for anyone with a talent or craft to sell their products online.  And above anything, I love supporting small/home businesses.

I have been perusing Etsy on just about the daily basis lately.  I am constantly adding items to my favorites, but here are some of my favorites shops and products!

Items listed below - Left to Right, Top to Bottom

PrettyLittleThings - I love anything that glitters, and I also LOVE coffee, which is why I love these Starbucks Glitter Mugs so much!

ShopMCBL - I have mentioned this shop in the past as I have recently purchased one of her prints.  It is a relatively new shop, but everything is just gorgeous and I already have about 5 prints saved to my favorites including Designer Tote with Spring Blossoms

PearlsandPastries - I am not sure I would actually want to hide my clothes away in the closet if they were hung on these hangers but I am  pretty sure I need them anyway. ORIGINAL Pink Silver and Gold Sequin Hanger;

RitzyMisfit - One of my very first Etsy purchases was a RitzyMisfit wax seal necklace and I still wear it.  Now that they come in gold, I may have to order another! Gold painted monogram Wax Seal necklace;

BeanBeanCase - Its no lie, I am obsessed with phone cases.  I am kind of on the hunt for a clear thin case, and think the Flower Rose Transparent iPhone Case will add just the right about of flare.

HometoHomeDecor - I love containers in general and mason jars are kind of the holy grail container for me. The love the different jars Megan has in her shop, especially the Mercury Glass Finish Mason Jars

HustleMama - More mason jars . . . I know!  I actually use the wide mouth jars as drinking glasses.  They are super durable and I was able to purchase some plastic reusable covers from Amazon so I can store any left over iced tea or coffee in the fridge.  These mugs from HustleMama are perfect to take any beverage on the go.  I especially love the Dashing Dots Tumbler Mug.

ShopMugShot - I don't really think this needs any explanation . . . its gold, its glitter; Enough said! Champagne Gole Glitter MacBook Case;

storiarts - I love scarves.  I also love when you kind of have to look closely at something to know what it is.  These seller use text from classic books to design scarves and other items.  I'm partial to the Pride and Prejudice Book Scarf because it was my favorite book in high school.

WhitneyEnglish - If you follow me on instagram, you have probably seen my Whitney English Day Designer a million times.  I am happy to report, the 2015 Day Designer is now available for preorder.

What are some of your favorite finds on Etsy?

Lia Sophia Product Review

Disclaimer:  Item was purchased by me using my own funds.  All options expressed are my own.

I have heard of Lia Sophia many times, but never purchased any of their products or even attended a trunk show, so when a friend of mine hosted an online show, I was eager to check out their products.

I am a sucker for jewelry and always eager to add everyday, costume and classic pieces to my collection. It is usually difficult for me to pick out just one piece when shopping, but I was on vacation at the time so while I was very tempted, I limited myself to buying just one thing.  It took time to narrow it down, but I finally settled on the SoufflĂ© Earrings.

I was quite surprised when I received these earring.  While I loved them online, they were even more beautiful in person.  They are also not an everyday stud, as they are a pretty decent size at approximately .5 inches in diameter.  When I ordered them, I envisioned wearing them to dress up trouser jeans and a plain black tee and pumps and I think these are going to be perfect for that.

While I am currently lusting over a  number of different Lia Sophia pieces, here are some of my favorites on my wish list.

(Left to Right, Top to Bottom)
Flamenco Earrings | Jacqueline Necklace  | City Lights Earrings
For You Bracelets | French Dot Earrings | Flicker Earrings
Class Act Earrings | Frond Necklace | Out on a Limb Bracelet

The SoufflĂ© Earrings retail for $34 and can be purchased through your personal Lia Sophia Advisor, or if you don't already have an advisor, you can contact Wendy whom I purchased from.

Style Icon: Nene Leaks

I am a huge fan of the Real Housewives franchise.  There is not a city that I don't watch. I am not only drawn to the drama, but those CLOTHES!  Whether it is the ladies of NJ or Orange County (and everywhere in-inbetween)  those housewives pull out all the stops!  One of my favorite RH Style Icons is Nene Leaks.  That girl can rock a pair of boyfriend jeans like no body's business.  I am OBSESSED with her whole casual chic pulled together style and am constantly trying duplicate to no avail (for no reason other than the fact I don't have a Birken!)

Here are some of my favorite casual looks of Nene's:

My IPhone Case Collection

Disclaimer:  This is not a sponsored post. All items were purchased my me using my own funds unless otherwise noted.  All opinions expressed are my own.

I have a serious problem when it comes to iPhone cases.  I can not stop buying them!  I have only had my iPhone 5 since June and I already have over 20 cases.  Since just about everyone has an iPhone, the only way to personalize the appearance of my phone is through cases.  Plus, its so easy to swamp out the case to match my outfit or my mood.

L | M | R

JCrew is a fantastic source for cases. You can also sometimes find them on clearance super duper cheap.  I especially like their thermoplastic polyurethane cases like the tortoise case shown above as they are pretty easy to get one and off and are quite durable.

I first spotted this case on instagram and stalked the internet until I found it. Society 6 carries a variety of products displaying artwork from different artists.  Artists can submit their artwork to Society 6 and it is immediately available for sale on a number of products, including iPhone cases.  If you like unique cases, your definitely need to check them out.

L | R

I really can't get enough of JCrew cases.  Right after I got my phone, I stopped into JCrew during a 25% off sale and ended up getting three cases on clearance for less than $12.00 total.

*Middle case shown from JCrew; source unavailable

These Marc by Marc Jacobs bumpers come 2 in the pack. They look really cute on and provide some protection against falls (due to the raised lip over the edges) but they are horrible to get on and off.  I fumble with these for about 10 minutes everything I try to get them on and then again when I remove them.  The plastic has no movement at all.

*Personalized cases purchased at mall kiosk

This is probably one of my favorite cases from my collection.  Everything Graphic Image does is just so beautiful.

 L | M | R

I prefer the 2 piece Kate Spade hard cases over the 3 piece cases that KS did for the iPhone 4.  They are more durable and easier to switch on and off.  I have used both the stripes case and the medallion case over and over again and they are both still in terrific shape.

*Kate Spade medallion case no longer available anywhere online

I never even thought to look for cases at Anthropologie.  I spotted this while Christmas shopping and fell it love with it!  It is a little bulky because of the leather and beading.

Since photographing cases for this post, I have also purchased this case from Amazon.  I have only been using it for about 4 or 5 days, but am surprised how much I like it considering the price.  I am considering ordering a few different color options.

Disclaimer: This is not  sponsored post.  Products mentioned were purchased by me.  All opinions expressed are my own.

You can't read too many beauty blogs these days without hearing about the GLAMGLOW MUDS.

GLAMGLOW was originally designed for exclusive professional backstage use in Hollywood. In 2011, GLAMGLOW became available to consumers and is now one of the leading brands in skincare. Known for fast-acting and innovative mud treatments, their patent-pending formulas combine real pieces of leaf with high-end technology to deliver instant, visible results.

GLAMGLOW carries 4 products; THIRSTYMUD, SUPERMUD, YOUTHMUD and BRIGHTMUD.  BRIGHTMUD, which is a reverse action undereye and orbital eye treatment is the only product out of the four that I don't own.  I first purchased THIRSTYMUD and really liked it, so when I spotted the GLAMGLOW Gift Sexy containing both SUPERMUD and YOUTHMUD at Sephora after the holidays I couldn't pass it up!

THIRSTYMUD is a nondrying hydration mask that delivers instant, extreme hydration. It uses the newest, most advanced, and extreme hydration active technologies. It moisturizes, restores, replenishes, and calms the skin. Dewdration™ boosts and locks in moisture for a dewy and youthful result while HydraPack™ leaves skin with an instant silky, soft, and supple feel. GreenEnergy™ smooths and energizes the skin, giving you a healthy-looking, glowing complexion.

This product can be used two to three times per week or when needed.  You apply an even layer to clean, dry skin on the face, neck, and chest. You can either leave it on for 10-20 minutes before wiping off, or you can leave it on overnight, which is what I like to do.

I don't have dry skin, but do like give it some extra hydration at least once a week.  This smells like a tropical vacation and it is super hydrating.  I will usually leave it on for 10-20 minutes, rub it half way into my skin then leave it on over night.  The next day my skin is so incredibly soft  and dewy.

SUPERMUD is a scientifically advanced clearing treatment to target, prevent, and heal problem skin.  This formula was clinically developed by GLAMGLOW® dermatological chemists to help fight all common skin concerns including breakouts, discoloration, black and white heads, razor bumps, and in-grown hair. Powerful, skin-clearing mud visibly draws out dirt and congestion while a proprietary six-acid blend dramatically brightens and softens skin. It works to magnetically draw out dirt and pores with Activated-X Charcoal, leaving skin smooth and healthy-looking.

This product can be used as often as need and can be used as either a full mask or spot treatment.  You apply a thin layer to clean skin leaving it on for 5 to 20 minutes (until dry)  You then remove it with water.

This is probably my favorite of the three masks.  Mainly because I do have product skin and am always looking for a good mask to keep my skin clear.  When I first started using this my skin was a mess.  I used it about twice a week, and about 3 weeks my skin completely cleared up.  Now I just use it whenever I feel my skin is a little congested. Its like magic and just immediately erases everything!

YOUTHMUD is a 10-minute professional-quality mud mask for both men and women. It leaves skin noticeably radiant and glowing. It works with the body's natural moisturizing collagen to provide gentle resurfacing exfoliation and helps to leave skin smoother, brighter, and softer. While providing tighter skin texture and tighter pores, it provides a more youthful appearance and absorbs impurities without removing natural oils.

YOUTHMUD can be used twice a week or as often as desired.  You apply a thin layer to clean face (and can also be used on the neck and chest). You wait until the mask is completely dry (usually about 10-20 minutes) and remove with water in circular motions to exfoliate.

This dries super super tight; tight to the extent that you can't talk or make much facial movements.  It can also be a bit difficult to remove.  I like to use a wet facecloth to rub it completely off.

I have use the least of the 3, but when I do use it my skin just looks better. My skin is just more youthful and radiant and glowy.  It just looks good.

I am hooked on GLAMGLOW and have the BRIGHTMUD on the top of my wish list to try out next!  Each mask is great for different reasons.  If it is not in your budget to purchase all three, THIRSTYMUD is great for really skin, SUPERMUD is fantastic at clearing problem/congested skin, and YOUTHMUD is just a great all around at one facial for all skin types.

All four of GLAMGLOW's products retail for $69 full size.  YOUTHMUD is also available in a smaller size for just $19 (which is great if you want to test it out).  The gift set I purchased was also $69 and contained the full sized SUPERMUD and the smaller size of YOUTHMUD.  If you are not sure which one is for you, you can also purchase the Sample Sexy on their website for $11.99 (THIRSTYMUD is not included)
