Recent Sephora Beauty Insider Perks

Over the past year Sephora Beauty Insider 500 point perks have been less than desirable.  Local Sephora's near me were still pushing the OPI for Sephora perks up until a few months ago.  (You know which one I'm talking about)  Needless to say, while I was racking up points, I hardly ever used them.

Recently, Sephora has turned around their Beauty Insider Program.  Last month they introduced their VIB Rouge membership, and even before that they have been offering some pretty great perks for both 500 and 100 points.  In the past 2 month alone I redeemed 1600 points.  And I have to tell you, I am super excited about the perks I received.

Caudalie Brighten and Renew - Get soft, radiant skin with this luxurious 3-step Caudalie regimen—a refreshing cleanser that also removes make-up, a serum that battles dark spots and discoloration, and an oil-free moisturizer that minimizes pores and refines skin tone.

I have been obsessed with Caudalie products and have wanted to try just about every product of theirs that I can get my hands on. I had heard fantastic things about the Vinoperfect Radiance Serum so there was no question about snagging this up!

This set contains three products.

Make-Up Remover Cleansing Water (1.69 oz) - Instantly removes make-up and impurities from face and eyes in just one step.

The full size product retails for $28 for 6.7 oz.  Given the size of the sample, it is a $7.06 value.

Vinoperfect Radiance Serum (0.33 oz) - For use day and night under your moisturizer for maximum anti-dark spot and brightening action.

Full size: $79/1 oz = Sample/$26.07 value

Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid SPF 15 (0.33 oz) - Oil-free daily moisturizer.  Brightens complexion and minimizes pores.  Ideal as a primer.

Full size: $64/1.3 oz = Sample/$16.25 value

The value of each product in this set makes the set a $49.38 value.

Living Proof Styling Essentials - Stylist Chris McMillan uses Living Proof products on celebrity clients like Jennifer Aniston, the brand’s co-owner. Get the same results at home with this collection of six of the brand’s essentials, plus Chris’s tips and tricks for creating three go-to summer styles.

Since I recently tried Living Proof's Prime and loved it, this was the perfect opportunity to get a deluxe sample size along with other products in the line to try.

This set includes 6 products:

Prime Style Extender (1 oz) - A weightless hairstyling primer that protects and extends the life of your style.

Full size: $20/5 oz = Sample/$4 value

Amp2 Instant Texture Volumizer (0.25 oz) - A hair texturizer that amplifies volume with flexible hold.

Full size: $24/2 oz = Sample/$3 value

Restore Mask Treatment (1 oz) - An intensive weekly treatment that nourishes each strand, increasing strength and manageability, leaving hair soft, shiny and smooth.

Full size: $42/8 oz = Sample/$5.25 value

Restore Shampoo (0.33 oz) - A gentle cleansing shampoo that replenishes moisture and improves manageability.

Full size: $28/8 oz = Sample/$1.16 value

Restore Conditioner(0.33 oz) - A nourishing daily conditioner that renews softness, shine, and manageability. Restore makes dry or damaged hair look, feel, and behave like virgin hair.

Full size: $28/8 oz = Sample/$1.16 value

Nourishing Styling Cream (0.33 oz) - A styling cream that smooths, conditions, and eliminates frizz by blocking humidity without weighing hair down.

Full size: $36/8 oz = Sample/$1.49 value

Total value of this set = $16.05

Tocca Cleopatra Fragrance Viaggio - The Tocca name is synonymous with chic European style and old-world romanticism. Launched in 1994 with its wildly popular sari dress, the clothing and beauty brand continues to be a go-to for the perfect frock, luxurious indulgences, and sumptuous fragrances. Tocca is renowned worldwide for creating distinctive, exquisite scents with feminine sensibility that are also reminiscent of familiar places.

One of my absolute favorites scents is Tocca's Stella, a sweet and fresh blood orange scent.  I am absolutely addicted to it, so I was eager to try out this scent.  Cleopatra has notes of grapefruit and cucumber.

This set contained two products, and as you can tell, I wasted no time burning this candle.

Cleopatra Rollerball EDP (.17 oz) - Cleopatra is infused with the crisp, fresh scent of juicy grapefruit and soothing cucumber. This almond oil-enriched bath and body collection is perfect for cooling the skin - and soothing mind and body.

Full size: $68/1.7 oz = Sample/$6.80 value

Cleopatra Mini Candelina (2 oz) - Whatever your mood, Tocca candles provide a pastiche of dazzle and comfort letting you mix and match your ever-changing mood.

Full size: $38/10.6 oz = Sample/$7.17 value

Total value of this set = $13.97

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads (7 pads) - These Facial Radiance Pads contain just the right amount of lactic and glycolic acids to make them safe and effective for daily use, even for people with reactive skin. Cucumber and Indian gooseberry tone the face, while lemon peel and licorice root leave the skin bright and glowing. First Aid Beauty's facial radiance pads are free of harsh chemicals and colorants.

Full size: $28/60 pads = Sample/$3.27 value

The grand total value of everything received is estimated at $82.66.  Since I used 1600 points total, I had to spend $1600 to receive all these perks.  That is a little more than 5% back.

Thirty Dollar Thursday

Gallery Walls are a growing trend in home decor.  Adding a gallery wall to your living room, office, or even bedroom is a fantastic way to add a focal piece to a room.  If you are new to home decor and want to start small, or don't have much money to spend, you can add create a DYI gallery wall with just a small cluster of frames from IKEA and some at home printed prints.  (say that 5 times fast!)

$30 Thursday: Gallery Wall

clockwise from top left: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

When choosing frames, stick with a color scheme.  Mix and match frames in various coordinating colors.  My personal preference is to use tones of no more than 3 coordinating colors.  In the set above, I used white, grey and aluminum. (although I believe aluminum to be in the gray family)

Once you have selected your frames, it time to start finding your prints.  If you have a decent color printer (or even black and white) you can print your favorite images from pinterest or other sources.  You will just need to be mindful of the size of the image in relation to your frame.  You can find various source online to determine the best size to look for, but I like to rely on good ole trial and error.

With a little DYI you can create your own small gallery wall for just a little over $30.00. (minus tax)

This or That

I recently discovered this tag on She Might Be Loved and thought it might be fun to give it a go.

Make Up

Blush or bronzer? Bronzer - my face is not complete without a little contouring.  And since I am warm toned anyway, bronzer complements my skin and can be multi purpose.
Lipgloss or lipstick? Lipgloss - Its easier to apply, and I find it lasts longer on me.  Plus I prefer the glossy look.
Eyeliner or mascara? Mascara - I need to have long lashes.
Foundation or concealer? Foundation - even though I don't leave the house without at least a little concealer, I would take an evened out skin tone over a little concealing any day.
Neutral or colour eye shadow? Neutral
Pressed or loose eye shadows? Pressed
Brushes or sponges? Brushes overall, but I can't live without my beauty blender!

OPI or China Glaze? If I had to pick between the two, I would say OPI, although I would prefer Essie for discount brands and Chanel for high end.  Both brands last the longest on me.
Long or short? Short.  I have a long nail bed so anything longer than the tip of my finger end up looking like dangers.  My nails are also grow quite strong that they hurt if they get too long.
Acrylic or natural? Natural.
Brights or darks? It really depends on my mood, although I do prefer classic colors (reds, pinks, beige)
Flower or no flower? No Flower

Perfume or body splash? Perfume - My mother raised my sister and me to believe it was sacrilege to leave the house without perfume.
Lotion or body butter? Body Butter
Body wash or soap? Body wash
Lush or another bath company? I do like LUSH but I tend to shop at the Body Shop a lot.  I also really like Soap & Glory

Jeans or sweat pants? I wish I could live in sweat pants but as they aren't very flattering or appropriate to wear all the time, I will have to say jeans. (Although the sweats go on the minutes I get home!)
Long sleeve or short? Whatever the weather calls for. I do like to dress in layers so I guess I could say both.
Dresses or skirts? Skirts - I'm so unproportioned that a dress that fits my hips would be too big on my waist and chest. A skirt and top fits better and it more flattering for my shape.
Stripes or plaid? Stripes.  I spent 12 years in a school uniform.  I am ruined when it comes to plaid!
Flip flops or sandals? If I had to answer, I would prefer flip flops although I really prefer to be barefoot.
Scarves or hats? Scarves.  I have a really big head and just can't wear hats . . . at all!
Studs or dangly earrings? I wear a lot more studs, but need a pair of dangly earrings or hoops when I go out.
Necklaces or bracelets? Bracelets.
Heels or flats? Heels.
Cowboy boots or riding boots? Neither, but I do prefer the look of a riding boot.
Jacket or hoodie? I'm right down the middle on this.
Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe? Forever 21, I guess
Abercrombie or Hollister? Neither.
Saks 5th or Nordstrom? Nordstrom

Curly or straight? Straight
Bun or ponytail? Bun/Top Knot
Bobby pins or butterfly clips? Bobby pins
Hairspray or gel? Hairspray
Long or short? Long
Light or dark? Dark
Side sweep bangs or full bangs?  Side swept
Up or down? Down although I need a cut badly so I have been wearing it up more.

Rain or shine? Is it odd if I say rain?  But only if I get to stay in bed with the windows open.
Summer or winter? I hate snow, but I do love the winter.  I'm a winter baby.
Fall or spring? Fall
Chocolate or vanilla? Vanilla
East Coast or West Coast? East Coast!  I'm from Boston . . . hello?!?!?

When Georgina did this tag, she took out a few questions as she is UK based and the questions were US based. I ended up getting the full list from Naomi Tara.

Sunday Lusts

Its been a couple of weeks since my last Sunday Lusts so this week is super sized!

Sunday Lusts 8.18.2013

1. Bonjour iPhone Case, Anthropologie & 2. Ciao iPhone Case, Society 6 - I can't have enough iPhone cases and since I upgrade my phone a couple of month ago, I need to rebuild my collection.

3. Tarte Coral Crush Amazonian Clay Eye & Cheek Palette - I wanted the Limited Edition Aqualillies Inspired Palette when it came out this past spring but never got it before it sold out.  The Coral Crush palette has more earth tones, which look better on my skin tone.

4. Rebecca Minkoff Erin Pouch - I love pouches.  The contents of my purse are usually always organized in small pouches.  I love the sayings Rebecca Minkoff uses on her pouches and this is the perfect size for several items in my bag.

5. Gallery Tote, Ann Taylor - There is nothing I love more than a great structured bag that can take you from the office to the weekend.  I love the added zippers on this giving it the winged out look that is very popular on handbags nowadays.

6.  Eye-O-Sonic Ultrasonic Ionic Serum Infuser, Michael Todd - This is supposed to help increase the absorption of eye cream into your skin.

7. Ballerina Pinks Flats, Tieks - I am always looking for cute comfortable flats and I love the bright blue soles on these.

8. Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay - It seems like everyone and their sister is raving about this clay and I am eager to see what the hype is about.

9. Whitening Mask, Mario Badecu - I hope I'm not going to jinx myself, but I have been very happy with the condition of my skin lately.  I just have some hyper-pigmentation that I want to lighted.  I am hoping this will do the trick.

My Dream Home Office

I am a little obsessed with office supplies and work spaces.  For some reason I have always been.  I think a well decorated space that reflects one's personal style calls for extra productively.  While I do have my own office at work I am limited with how I can decorate, so I long for my own personal home office that I can keep as I choose.

This is how I would decorate my dream home office.

Dream Office

There are certain pieces that are essentials in any office.  A guest chair and bookshelf don't need to fade into the background.  I like the idea of a big comfy chair to not only seat a guest, but to curl up on to either read or for a causal/relaxed workplace.

The gold side table ties into the other gold accents of the room, and not only serves as a spot to a cup of coffee, but as a decorative accent either on its own or for a vase of bright florals.   And whenever I envision my dream office, I picture purple walls.

I love framed artwork.   Because I like to change this up every once in a while, investing in a great frame and switching out an inexpensive print is an great option.   IKEA has some fantastic prints, or you can even print an image from pinterest.  I also think mirrors are a great option to decorate any space. They serve multiple purposes as they not only dress up a wall, but you can easily check your face throughout the day.

curtains | floor lamp

I am kind of weird about open windows; especially when its dark out.  It kind of freaks me out.  Curtain panels allow you to let the light (or air) in but give a little privacy.

If you don't have a ceiling light of wall sconces, a floor lamp can give off a great deal of light to the room.

flowers | mug | pen holder | candle | candle | mirror

Flowers are so easy to dress up any space.  I would probably fill my dream offices with flowers in any spot they will fit.  Peonies are among my absolute favorite, so they are a must in any dream space.

Candles are also a must! And I love candles that I can reuse the jar to store pens, paperclips, or just random bits.  I also like the idea of a small vanity mirror to sit on the desk.  I know it is a little vain, but as this is a dream home office, my desk would have to double as a place to try out new products.

desk | chair | rug

There is something so sophisticated and glamorous about a large mirrored desk with an upholstered chair behind it.  (My dream office will probably also have to come with someone to keep it clean and fingerprint free!)  I also love the idea of the yellow rug contrasting with the walls; just large enough to cover the space under the desk.  Since everything else would be predominantly cream and gold, the colors would pop.

To view some other supplies I would keep in my dream office, view my previous post HERE.

Life Lately: Instagram Challenge

As I have mentioned before, I have been using Instagram more and more lately.  The more and more I use it the more I begin to understand why so many people use it and I am super late to the party.

I recently discovered a photo of the day challenge created by Chantelle of Fat Mum Slim.  Each month she creates a list of prompts (one for each day) and the idea is to Instagram a photo each day related to that days prompt with #FMSphotoaday.  For me, the best part is going through the photos each day to view others' perspective of the daily prompt, liking my favorites and finding new instagramers to follow.

Some days have been harder than others.  Today, I knew exactly what I was going to post.  Today is day ten, beverage.  Here are my photos thus far.

Top Left to Bottom Right:

Day 1 - N; Nickel

Day 2 - Incomplete; Unfinished Sudoku

Day 3 - Skyline; Martha's Vineyard

Day 4 - Fresh; Fresh Watermelon, Freshly Brew Iced Tea and Fresh Polish

Day 5 - Early; Beverly Hills 90210, The Early Years

Day 6 - This Means a lot to Me; Good Times with Good Friends

Day 7 - A Sign; The Citgo Sign, Boston

Day 8 - Peek a Boo; Hydrox, bundled up

Day 9 - 2 o'clock; I left work early to get a head start on the weekend and it was pouring.

Day 10 - Beverage; Green Tea Frappucino

To follow the rest of my challenge photos each day, follow me on Instagram HERE or find me @TesoriBelle.  And make sure to comment below with your instagram handle so I can follow you back!

For more information on this challenge, check out Chantelle's post.

Thirty Dollar Thursday

I hate August and not for any reason except that it means September is on the horizon and the days of summer are fading fast.  Don't get me wrong; I love the fall.  In fact, Autumn is my favorite season.  I just don't want to put away the flip flops and see all my favorite seasonal locals close for 9 months.  I also don't want to accept what is ahead; a long cold wet New England winter.

But enough about winter.  It's still summer and still time to look the part when you're heading out on a Saturday running errands or grabbing lunch with the girls.  So for that; I bring you the $30 Saturday summer look.

Thirty Dollar Thursday

Jersey Tank Dress, Old Navy - $9.97 (on sale)

Classic Flip Flops, Old Navy - $2.50

Merona Gradient Brown Lens Sunglasses, Target  - $8.48 (on clearance)

June/July Favorites

I didn't do a favorites post for June, so some of these products are from June; although I still love and use all of them.

VS Deep Softening Pure Seduction Body Butter - I wasn't sure if I liked this at first.  It is very thick and took some time to work into the skin; however it made my skin softer than any other lotion/cream/butter.  It also smelled so good and even better when paired with my Marc Jacobs perfume that I finished up last month.

Ivory Original Body Wash - This is just so clean and simple.  It was about $2 for the bottle and brings me back to when I was a kid and my mother only bought Ivory soap.

Organix Hydrating Teatree Mint Shampoo & John Frieda Root Awaking Conditioner - I have a very sensitive scalp.  Depending on what I use my scalp can itch for days.  This keeps my scalp itch free, even after dying my hair.  I don't use this combo every wash, but try to at least once a week or every other shampoo.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir - I have kind of been obsessed with face sprays lately.  This is a great toning spray that is very refreshing and just makes your skin feel good.

Caudalie Lip Conditioner - I have also been obsessed with Caudalie lately.  I received this in the Caudalie Favorites Set, along with the Beauty Elixir and other products.  My lips get super dry and certain balms just make them drier.  This keeps them hydrated and soft.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant - There is a reason why this cult favorite is so popular.  It conditions skin, can be used on your cuticles, on your brows, to sooth burns and skin irritations, and can even be used on your lips.  It has become a staple in my purse as it can be used for just about anything.

NYX Pore Filler - This makes my pores literally disappear at just half the price of Benefit's POREfessional.  I bought this at Ulta when NYX was buy one get one 50% off (which seems to be almost all the time) so I ended up getting two for about $20.

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer - I waited FOREVER for these to come stateside.  They are so pigmented for a gloss.  I have them in the colors Stella, Nova, and I 'think' the third is Comet, although the name is on the safety sticker so it is long gone.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss, Kiss Me Coral - I have loved Revlon's Super Lustrous lip glosses for years.  They are not to sticky and give decent color.  Kiss Me Coral is pretty pigmented and a gorgeous red coral.

REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask - I talked about this in my last empties post after finishing a sample.  It just improves the overall condition of my skin.

Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair Moisturizer - This is another product that I previously mentioned in a review last month.  This is a great moisturizer while repairing the skin.

Living Proof Prime Style Extender - Using this on wet hair before I dry and style kicks the style up a notch and helps it last longer.

What were your favorite products of July?

Sunday Lusts

Sunday Lust 8.4.2013

Nikon COOLPIX L820 Digital Camera -  My camera is a couple years old now and getting more and more difficult to sync to my macbook (I have to hold the cord in place to uploaded my pictures).  I don't know if I would know how to use a dslr  or want to make that investment just yet, so I am looking at my options.  This is a standard digital, but with a little more bells and whistles than what I have now.  I actually played with this one in Target friday and have been reading about it since and I think it could be my next camera.

Peace Candle, H&M - While I love scented candles, I sometimes just want the glow of a candle.  This is unscented so it won't mix with any other scents I may have going on and it just so darn cute.

Skull Tea Light Holder, H&M - I love tea light holders for so many different things; to hold q-tips, store perfume samples, paperclips, coins . . . just about anything.  And I just love the skull on this.

Pointed Flat Shot, Zara - While I have a ton of ballet flats, I don't have any flats that I can wear to dress up jeans.  I like the pointed toes on these and the open sides.  I think they would be perfect for early fall.

Printed Blouse, Old Navy - I have been wearing more and more black tones lately and I think black and white it just so classic and polished.

Telluride Glow Set, Bobbi Brown - I like that this bronzer it a little more pink toned, and the eye shadows are definitely right up my alley.
