October Julep Maven Box

I received a Julep Maven Box this month.  I have been subscribing since early this year, but normally skip the month because I already have so much nail polish. I was originally going to skip October because while I loved some of the colors in the collection, most of the boxes in the October collection contained a crackle polish, which I am not into.  Then Julep announced they were going to offer an additional box, "Maven's Choice" that did not contain a crackle, but included the three colors in this month's line that I really liked.

If you don't know what Julep Maven is, you can read my review from June HERE, that explains the subscription service.

"Maven's Choice" contains 3 colors, rather than the normal 2 plus one extra.  The colors in this box are Eloise, a smokey indigo blue crème from the American Beauty box; Lisa, a warm pebble gray crème from the Boho Glam box; and Keira, a deep merlot red crème from the Bombshell box.  Julep also allows you to "add-on" an additional polish or product to your box for $5.99.  I choose to "add-on" a bottle of quick-dry polish drops that was being featured in the 2 polish boxes.

The drying drops were shipped separately.

Julep usually includes some kind of seasonal item in each box.  In celebration of Halloween Julep included a small bag of candy corn, 2 small jars of glitter in black and orange, and a cute little note card with a quote by mythological author Catherynne M. Valente.

Eloise is a smokey indigo blue creme.

I don't typically like blue polish, but this one if just so gorgeous!  I don't know if I would wear it alone, but I would definitely use it on an accent nail or as part of a half moon manicure.

Keira is a deep merlot red crème

This is a beautiful color for fall.  I typically go for more red tones, and this one is right up my alley!  I wore this all last week.

Lisa is a warm pebble gray crème.

I am really loving greys and taupes on my nails lately.  This color was a big reason for me not skipping this month.

This quick dry is pretty consistent with other drying drops on the market.  My nails dried fast and this lavender scents makes it smell incredible.

If you are not familiar with Julep polish, it is now sold in Sephora's across the US.  I really like the formula of their polishes.  It spreads and drys wells, and I tend to like the smaller bottles.

  1. Hey there,

I love your nail polish swatches they are very accurate. I was wondering if you would be interested in more Maven's choice boxes- or even other products that you wished Julep offered?

    1. I would definitely be interested in more Maven's choice boxes. I was very excited to get the option this month to get a box with each of the colors I loved from this month's collection. I like more traditional colors, so if there was a choice I probably wouldn't skip as often. I really do love the formula of Julep polish and would love to see more reds and neutrals.

Thank you so much for your comment and for reaching out to me!
