Weekend in Hyannis

I spent this past weekend in Hyannis with friends/family.  As a kid we would always spend our summer vacations on Cape Cod, but I haven't been back for years.  It was great to get out of the city for a couple of days and just relax.

Saturday was kind raining off and on and so not a beach/pool day.  Our motel was just a block away from Main Street where there are looks of shops, restaurants and bars.  As we were walking, we spotted the John F Kennedy Hyannis Museum.  Since the Boston JFK Museum is my absolute favorite museum, we decided to check it out.  It was an extra treat that the Cape Cod Baseball League Museum was right down stairs and an $8 admission got us into both..

JFK was so handsome.  This is a picture of his earlier years.

"I always come back to the Cape and walk on the beach when I have a touch decision to make.  The Cape is the one place I can think and be alone."
-John F Kennedy.

Before we left on Sunday, we took a cruise of Hyannis Harbor

This lighthouse is not a working lighthouse rather a replica used by the property owners as a guest house.
