Favorite Room of the House

I have always thought of my bedroom as my own private sanctuary.  There is nothing better then fresh linens and a calming, clean atmosphere.  It is my favorite room of the house to decorate.  When I love the way the room looks and have a comfortable/cozy bed, I could stay in bed for days.

If you look at the elements in this room, it is rather very simple and easy.  What makes it so elegant is the blue upholstered head board and foot board.  It really makes the entire room.

I love everything about this room, from the colors to the ottoman at the foot of the bed (I love benches/ottoman at the foot of beds).  I especially like how the mirrors behind the lamps open up the room.

Why have a wooden headboard when you have have a tufted one?  It is so luxurious

I love all white linens.  They are so crisp and clean.  And who wouldn't want that ocean front porch to sit out on all day everyday.

I love the rustic charm of the exposed brick.  It is so unexpected against the white linens and pink accent.

If it wasn't for the vintage mirror behind the bed, this would look like a typical guest room at someones grandmothers house.  The mirror combined chandelier pulls the eyes up for a decedent, shabby chic feel.

Simple and Chic

At first glance I thought my favorite part of this room was the little office to the side, but check out that ceiling!  It makes me wonder what the rest of the architecture of the house looks like.  It is a old property renovated or just a new home with old school accents.

Not a bedroom, but I thought it was such a great idea.  An old vintage frame turned into a vanity tray!
