Project X Pan

I did something last night that I haven't done in a VERY long time.  I went to Sephora and didn't buy a thing.  It's not because I didn't want to, or couldn't.  I was actually being practical and did not really need anything.  There were tons I wanted, but for once I decided to wait and use up what I already own. I have to say that I am actually very proud of myself.

I know I have a lot of products and cosmetics.  I will usually use something for a while then buy something else thinking it is going to change my life before I forget about it and move onto the next product.  In doing this I have wasted a lot of products and money in the past.
Earlier this year I vowed not to buy new shampoo and conditioner until I use up what I currently have.  It is taking a while as I have 3 different kinds that I switch between and since I don't wash my hair every day it is taking forever.  There have been a few times that I have come close to cracking, but in the end I have decided that I would really rather use up all the half used bottles in my shower.

I have been considering doing a Project X Pan for a while.  If you don't know what a Project Pan is, you basically vow to use up a certain amount of beauty projects, or "hit pan", before buying another product.  Project X Pan is using up ten products (X = 10). Usually you decide in advance what products you are to use up.  I really just want to go with the first ten products, but I think the whole purpose is to get you to use up particular products.

The benefits of doing a Project Pan would be using up the products that one currently has and saving money.  In my case it would also give me the chance to really try out some of the products that I only used once or twice before throwing them in the drawer, and it would help me clean out my collection.

I am on the fence as to what 10 products to include in my Project X Pan. I am planning on choosing them over the next couple of days and will report back.

I do want to make mention for the sake of not cheating, I am currently planning on purchasing a new BB Cream and hope to get it before I start Project X Pan.  I am still exploring what BB Cream I want.  I really want to try a Korean brand as I heard they are so much better than the American brands.  I have tried the Dr Jart+ Water Fused Beauty Balm and I did not like it for the sole fact that it was way to light for me.  The Dr Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm seemed to match when I tried it at Sephora so I may give it a go.  I have also read good things about the Skin 79 BB Cream.  If I do purchase an American Brand, it will be the Boscia BB cream.

Has anyone ever done a Project Pan?  How did it go?
